Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to build an awareness-centered information security policy (ISP) compliance model, asserting that awareness is the key to ISP compliance and that awareness depends upon several variables that influence successful ISP compliance.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors built a model with seven constructs, i.e., leadership, trusting beliefs, information security issues awareness (ISIA), ISP awareness, understanding resource vulnerability, self-efficacy (SE) and intention to comply. Seven hypotheses were stated. A sample of 285 non-management employees was used from various organizations in the USA. The authors used path modeling to analyze the data.
Findings
The findings indicated that IS awareness depends on effective organizational leadership and elevated employees’ trusting beliefs. The understanding of resource vulnerability (URV) and SE are influenced by IS awareness resulting from effective leadership and elevated employees’ trusting beliefs which guide employees to comply with ISP requirements.
Practical implications
Practical implications were aimed at organizations embracing an awareness-centered information security compliance program to secure organizations’ assets against threats by implementing various security education and training awareness programs.
Originality/value
This paper asserts that awareness is central to ISP compliance. Leadership and trusting beliefs variables play significant roles in the information security awareness which in turn positively affect employees’ URV and SE variables leading employees to comply with the ISP requirements.

Abstract
Software technology designed to provide managers with the capability to access internal and external information that is relevant to decision making and other managerial responsibilities is referred to as executive support systems. Reports the findings of a study conducted among managers in major US corporations regarding the use of executive support systems including specific products, features, and the strategic impact of using this technology. In addition, interviews were conducted among executive support systems commercial software vendors and data obtained from these interviews are presented in tabular form. Finally, discusses the future of the utilization of executive support systems for strategic advantage.

Abstract
A principal participant in developing computer‐based information systems is the systems analyst. A wide range of skills and knowledge requirements seems to be necessary to be a systems analyst. To date, few studies have attempted to identify the specific skills that analysts indicate are critical to their success during the systems development life‐cycle process. Identifies and investigates the characteristics of a successful systems analyst’s domain and knowledge base. Specifically, groups domain knowledge into four major categories: technical skills, systems skills, managerial skills, and business skills. From within each category, analysts indicated which skills they perceived to be of importance to perform their job functions as systems analysts successfully. The results help identify the educational and training requirements for future systems analysts that need to be in place for both academic and corporate instructional programmes.

Abstract
This paper discusses the results of Australian case studies illustrating the key issues that need to be addressed for accounting information quality management. In previous studies from the existing literature, the factors that may impact on information quality have been summarized. In this paper, a model for key issues that impact on accounting quality was proposed based on the literature. The case study results were then used to discuss the key components of the research model.

Abstract
Data quality is a critical issue during the implementation of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Data quality problems can have a significant impact on an organisation’s information system. Therefore, it is essential to understand data quality issues to ensure success in implementing ERP systems. This paper uses SAP as an example of an ERP system and describes a study, which explores data quality problems with existing systems, and identifies critical success factors that impact data quality. The study resulted in the development of a framework for understanding data quality issues in implementing an ERP, and application of this framework in a case study in two large Australian organisations. The findings of the study suggest that the importance of data quality needs to be widely understood in implementing an ERP, as well as providing recommendations that may be useful to practitioners.
